CPAP/Bi-Level Services
Lakeland Health Services offers therapeutic services to our patients who may benefit from positive pressure therapy. The most common and most effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) or Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP). CPAP and BiPAP therapy is non-invasive and considered the first line treatment for OSA. The general theory behind this type of treatment is that it applies a positive pressure to the airway to keep it from closing during sleep. Upon your decision to use Lakeland Health Services for your therapy needs, our staff will take you through an extensive education session on the use of CPAP or BiPAP. The advantage to using Lakeland Health Services for your OSA therapy needs is that you will not only have received the most thorough education possible, but you will also be followed very closely by members of our staff. This is a piece that has been missed by other companies who provide this equipment. More often than not, you do not even hear from the company that provides the equipment to you after your set-up. This is because it is expensive to provide this service. We at Lakeland Health Services feel that we are not doing you justice if we do not take care of you and help you to adjust to your CPAP or BiPAP unit. CPAP and BiPAP therapy is covered by all insurances when medically necessary.
